The form of the shoe is salomon running shoes sale generous and accommodates even a wider foot inside very nicely. Some people really struggle finding a comfortably fitting and wide enough shoe and we recommend giving the Salomon XA line a try in such need. The light weight of the shoe, 3D chassis, quicklace and the Ortholite insoles combined make these shoes extremely comfortable and supportive in active use, whether youíre just doing your daily commute or going for a hike. And to be precise, we pretty much fell in love with these shoes, which is no wonder. Ever since buying them, we have used them for pretty much every task imaginable in our very civilian lives. Daily commute, taking the dog out, hiking, range days, you name it.

Trail shoe trends have salomon shoes womens seen a lot of change over the years. Shirtless runners with the most minimal of shoes captured our attention a few years ago, and since then we have put on trucker hats and added inches to our midsole cushion. One of the most noticeable constants through this change has been the Salomon Speedcross. Salomon has made changes and introduced, adjusted and dropped various models but the Speedcross has been their bedrock. While the Speedcross shoes have always maintained the same general look, minor tweaks have been introduced through new versions of the shoe. This brings us to my review of the 4th edition of the ubiquitous Speedcross.

The shoe incorporates salomon shoes speedcross 4 Salomonís Sensifit technology, which hugs the foot from the midsole to the eyelets of the laces and provides a snug, secure feeling. This feature, combined with the Quicklace system, creates incredible stability that ensures your foot stays in the shoe and only moves where and when you want it to. The Quicklace system has other perks in and of itself. The ease and speed at which the shoe can be removed, poured out (trail dust, loose scree, etc.), and put back on is great. As an added bonus, when stopping to filter water or take in a view, the shoe can be rapidly loosened, giving the foot a quick breather before itís time to get on with the run. A lace pouch is on the tongue of the shoe for storage.

The XA Pro 3Ds are lighter and salomon xa pro 3d mid more breathable than any hiking shoe I have ever worn before. They didnít restrict me in any way and my feet generally felt comfortable in them. With a lightweight shoe as opposed to a boot I was concerned they might not offer an adequate level of protection, but my worries turned out to be misguided. Rarely an hour went by on trail when I didnít stub my toe on a rock or trip over an exposed root and each time the solid toe of the shoe meant that my feet remained in one piece. No broken toes. My only blister on the entire trail occurred right at the beginning after pushing myself too hard to reach Ziggy and the Bearís, incidentally making my first 26 mile day.
